Our business name is Super Smoothie Girls.

Our logo is:

Our slogan is: feeling down need a smoothie come to Super Smoothie Girls.

On Friday we tested 3 smoothie flavours and here is out test sheet:

The flavour that worked best was frozen-berries, yogurt and apple it worked because the flavours go really well together.

Cubism trip

We went to MTG to learn more about Cubism. 

Something I really enjoyed was finding the picture that looked the most similar to the photo.

Something I would like to know more about  the artists who did cubism.

Addition

Procedural writing + measurement

This procedure could be improved by makeing the instructions clearer.

Something I did well was was on how to make the heart.

Some I could improve on is measuring the paper.

What I’ve done this year!

The new class room

I hear the SWISH swash as the builder brushes the building. 

I hear a saw or something sharpening. 

The building looks like a tangle of wool.

I hear a CLUNK CLUNK!!! as the hammer puts nails in. 

There are loads of different sounds like layers.

The sounds when he hammers it echos. 

The building kinda looks like a wooden maze. 

I also see the builder painting the building softly and nicely. 

As the builders hammer I feel the dust swish past my face.

BANG goes the hammer. 

Sometimes when they stop hammering .

Use interesting words to describe.

The word I like best in my poem is SWISH swash.

A word I really liked in Stella  poem was I hear the nail gun banging on the walls like fireworks.

Maths knowledge.

In my maths knowledge I am in the stage six group. My knowledge teacher is Mrs Wilburn.

I am good at 100 X tables.

I am in the experts group because I have finished the essential spelling list 7.

We have been learning about homonyms, synonyms and apostrophes in different stages of the year.

Spring poem

Something I did well was putting in good ideas.

Something I could improve on using better vocabulary.

Cross country

On September the 6th the school had cross-country. The middle school and the senior school walked down to Farndon Park. I was in the 8yr girls race. First it was the 8 year old girls  turn with    

warm ups. Then we went to the starting line. Mr Basset said "READY STEADY GO" Cerys was in the lead. Then Mille got in the lead.  We ran around the four rugby posts and around the tennis court to the finish line.When my run finished I felt tired and sweaty. After that I watched  the 8yr old boys, Tye  came first. After that it was the nine year old girls turn. My friend Coral did not make it all the way but she tried her best. After the nine year old girls turn, it was the nine year old boys turn. After the ten and eleven year old boys and girls raced. Everybody went back into their groups. Then each group got let go to follow Ms Petherick back to school. I was proud I came 7th.

Ordering my fractions to the smallest to the biggest.

I could improve on my diagram by adding a bit more information to it.

Reading Term two In reading this week I read the book ' Wet ' on the reading eggs eggs press App. I did not use the read- back function. Something I learned was ribbon weed grows underwater. I passed all of the comprehensive tests. I needed to re-read one chapter to pass.

In inquiry we made a diorama to show what we learned about the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi at Clive.I assessed my diorama as a 3 because I didn't have 3 Maori chefs and no facts. To improve I need to add 3 more people.

In swimming I am in the dolphins group. When I jump in the pool it feels like the deep scary ocean.when you swim you feel like a zooming dolphin in a river.The people in the pool look like fish playing together. Something I did well was I did well in freestyle. I am working on backstroke.

On Wednesday the whole class went to the Waka.the class and the parents drove down to the river happily. There was a bit of talking about safety and putting on life jackets.Then we went on the waka.The waka can have up to fourth people on it. On the waka it we used paddles to start the waka.It was wobbly on the waka and low tide.I felt excited and fun.

In writing we are learning to write recounts.  

Something I did well was using  W details in my opening.

Something I need to work on is finishing my recount with a sentence about how I felt.
